Vutton Creation Guide
Updated: July 16, 2026
Check these three things first
Keep one line or sound in one Vutton.
Keep the title close to what you hear, not a long scene description.
We recommend creating Vuttons from full videos on official channels.
1. How to Write a Vutton Title
The title should show what users will hear, not a long explanation of the scene. Short and recognizable is best.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Title writing
A cute cheeseburger order scene
Please give me a cheeseburger
β Check before upload
- Good examples: Please give me a cheeseburger, γγ―γγγγγγΎγ, I am not a cat
- Avoid: A cute cheeseburger order scene, A suddenly funny moment, legendary clip
2. Multilingual Titles
Multilingual titles should point to the same meaning. Proper nouns, fandom words, and memes do not need forced literal translation.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Multilingual title
ko μΉμ¦λ²κ±° μ£ΌμΈμ / en Cute burger moment
ko μΉμ¦λ²κ±° μ£ΌμΈμ / en Please give me a cheeseburger
β Check before upload
- Good example: ko μΉμ¦λ²κ±° μ£ΌμΈμ / en Please give me a cheeseburger / ja γγΌγΊγγΌγ¬γΌγγγ γγ
- Avoid: ko μΉμ¦λ²κ±° μ£ΌμΈμ / en Cute burger moment / ja γγγγγ·γΌγ³
3. Writing What You Hear
If the creator says something playfully on purpose, you can write it as it sounds. Just do not change the meaning.
π‘ Examples make it easier
What you hear
A very funny burger moment
tteedeu burger jjutteyo
β Check before upload
- Allowed examples: λ λλ²κ±° μ£ΌλΌμ, arigatou gozaimashu, ohayo gozaimasu
- Recommended flow: standard expression β translation suggestion β review β final edit to match the sound
4. Clip Length and Segment Selection
A Vutton is a quick sound button, not a long clip. Keep the core sound and trim extra silence.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Segment
A full 40-second conversation
The core 4-second line
β Check before upload
- Recommended length is 1 to 10 seconds. Even with a special reason, keep it within 15 seconds when possible.
- Start just before the line begins and end just after it finishes. Trim unnecessary silence before and after.
- Laughs, reactions, and sound effects may be included when they are the point of the Vutton.
- Avoid long silence, long unrelated talk after the line, mixed topics, or segments where only BGM remains.
5. Source Submission Rule
The source should be specific enough for moderators to find the original again. URL, title, channel, and time range help a lot.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Source
I saw it on YouTube
Original URL + video title + channel + start/end time
β Check before upload
- Whenever possible, submit the original URL, video title, channel name, platform, start time, and end time.
- The desktop uploader can save the original URL, video title, channel name, platform, and segment start/end times together.
- Use the source note for video title, channel name, and platform. Segment times are stored separately as start and end time.
- Unrelated URLs, fabricated sources, or intentionally vague sources may result in rejection or temporary blocking.
6. Rights and Reuse Policy Checks
A source does not automatically mean reuse is allowed. Check the original platform and creator policy first.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Rights
I added the source, so it is fine
I checked that clipping and reuse are allowed
β Check before upload
- Do not upload content where the rights holder, creator, agency, or platform prohibits clipping, reuse, audio extraction, or soundboard registration.
- Do not upload membership-only, paid, private, or deleted content where public reuse is unclear.
- If platform rules and creator-specific clipping rules differ, follow the most restrictive applicable rule.
7. Tags and Situations
Keep the title focused on the line. Use situations and tags for context so search stays useful.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Tags
Help me horror-game reaction title
Title Help me! / tags horror game, reaction
β Check before upload
- Example: title Help me! / situation Scream / tags horror game, reaction, panic
- Tags may add context such as game title, mood, meme, or scene information that is not in the title.
- Start with about 3 to 8 tags, and avoid unrelated or repetitive tags.
8. Duplicate Vuttons
If the same Vutton already exists, use it instead of uploading another copy. Duplicates make browsing harder.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Duplicate
Upload the same URL and segment again
Use the existing Vutton or keep the clearer one
β Check before upload
- The same source URL, creator, start time, end time, and line or sound may be treated as a duplicate.
- When several similar Vuttons exist, prefer the one with better audio quality, title, source, and translations.
9. Content Not Allowed or Requiring Caution
If a clip can harm someone or has major rights risk, do not upload it. Check context before making it public.
π‘ Examples make it easier
Caution
An aggressive line cut out of context
A public clip with clear context and rights
β Check before upload
- Insults, hate, sexual content, personal information, or private-life exposure
- Maliciously edited statements, or edits that remove context and distort meaning
- Segments where the creator prohibits reuse, or content with unclear copyright or permission
- Third-party music, BGM, ads, video clips, images, or other material with separate rights risks
Final check
A Vutton is a short sound button. Keep the title close to what users hear, keep the segment short, and leave a source that can be checked later.
